2026 MAJOR PAIRS

 

The 2026 Major Pairs have now been completed.   We saw some great matches throughout with some very close results.   

Semi-Finals:

Nicole Dargan, Katie Brown  def  Lee Van Lint, Kerry Yates

Maureen Carlyle, Beverley McFarlane def Cheryl Catchpool, Joan Murphy. ( the winner was determined by an extra end)

The Final was played on Tuesday 29th September between Nicole Dargan, Katie Brown and Maureen Carlyle, Beverley McFarlane.

Nicole and Katie had a good lead after 9 ends but Maureen and Beverley got a couple of 3's which brought them to only 1 behind. Then they were level and from 13th end it was very close. Going into the last end Maureen and Beverley had a 1 shot lead and held on to win the match. It was a great game to watch. Well done to all players and Congratulations to Maureen and Beverley.

2026 CHARITY DAY

Umina Women’s Mixed Charity Day was held on Monday 31st August in ideal spring weather.

Our thanks to all who supported this day. We had 112 players and over 30 non players attend. Everyone enjoyed the day. We had raffles and tombola with great prizes, craft and plant stalls etc.

President Pat was delighted to present Secretary Lorraine and Treasurer Rhonda from Central Coast Kids in Need $5,200 on behalf of everyone. A great day and thank you to all who supported this very worthy charity.
